The Hunter Valley itself is picture-perfect, and with so many amazing locations for couples to choose from, we’ve created our own list of wedding venues that we love in the Hunter Valley, and what makes each of them special.

Some of our favourite locations

Briar Ridge Winery

For couples who want to say “I Do with a view” and a feeling of seclusion and intimacy, Briar Ridge is a perfect wedding venue at the Hunter Valley. Located in Mountain View, a bit out of town, Briar Ridge is well worth the trip. As with a lot of things, you find something special when you go off the beaten track. Briar Ridge’s Old Winery’ and Wine Deck is the perfect space to celebrate with family and friends, with five-star cuisine prepared by the Hunter Valley’s highly-acclaimed restaurant, Bistro Molines.

Oaks Cypress Lakes

No matter how small or big your wedding is (we’re talking about up to 1,000 guests!), Oaks Cypress Lakes can accommodate your wedding needs. There are plenty of beautiful spots for your wedding photos in the Hunter Valley, from bush dropback to vineyards, so you don’t have to leave the premises. And if you fancy sharing your photographs with kangaroos, then I promise you that you won’t be disappointed!

Tamburlaine

Tamburlaine winery has made a mark in the Hunter for their organic wines, and weddings. As they say, if you can dream it, the team at Tamburlaine can certainly help to make your dream wedding in the Hunter Valley come true.  Describing their venue as elegant and private, Tamburlaine also prides itself for offering food, wine and service to match. Vineyards and photographic backyard are perfect to capture your special day.

Calvin Estate

Surrounded by hills and country charm as far as the eyes can see, one immediately feels at peace and relaxed upon setting foot at the Calvin Estate. Only 15 minutes away from Hunter Valley’s famous wineries, not many venues in this region, or any where else for that matter, that boasts 24 acres of grand property. But what really sets it apart is that couples and their guests have absolute privacy and can enjoy its entire grandeur all to themselves.

Goldfish

If you’re after a more relaxed and casual wedding without compromising style and quality, then consider Goldfish as your Hunter Valley wedding destination. Each part of the venue can be transformed to suit your wedding needs: either as shared space or a private occasion. Fancy a cocktail amongst the wines? Head to the bar and you won’t be disappointed!

Starline Alpaca

Not only alpacas are cute, but they also make a great talking point at weddings – you can even walk down the aisle with one if you wish! Couples choose the Starline Alpacas wedding venue at Broke for its uniqueness, huge space and the freedom to DIY everything, therefore you can create your wedding day just as you envision it.

Peterson House

Known for its sparkling wine, you can’t go past it if you want that little spark on your day. There are plenty of options both for your wedding ceremony and wedding reception. You can have your ceremony at their onsite chapel or anywhere on their beautiful grounds. And as for wedding reception, you can have it at Peterson’s main house or if you prefer to be amongst the vines, in a marquee.

Crowne Plaza

Crowne Plaza promises to deliver an elegantly refined day in the Hunter Valley for your wedding. With a dedicated wedding planner, you can have an intimate wedding reception under the stars or a lavish one for up to 800 guests in the hotel’s ballroom.

Hunter Valley Gardens

A fairy tale wedding is literally possible in the Hunter Valley Gardens. You and your partner can enjoy your first few moments as a wedded couple in the popular Storygarden. The Gardens has a romantic rotunda situated on the Lakes Walk where you can say your “I do’s”.

Peppers Creek

It’s easy to imagine you’re in the vineyards somewhere in Europe when you choose Peppers Creek for your wedding day. Peppers Creek has a gorgeous sandstone chapel located on the edge of their merlot vineyard, overlooking the Barrel Room, and offers all of the romance & charm of a country wedding.

Adams Peak Country Estate

The breathtaking views of the surrounding valley are what make couples fall in love with Adams Peak in Broke. They offer couples different backdrops for their ceremony, all with stunning views. Depending on the time of the year, you can have your wedding reception outdoors under the stars with the countryside enveloping you and your guests.

The Woodhouse Wollombi

A stunning 100 acre located in the Lower Hunter, the property has undergone a transformation with lovingly landscaped grounds and over 5000 trees planted with the large lake its centrepiece. Redwood Park (home to The Woodhouse) has a very interesting and purpose-built architecturally designed wedding space. It is rustic yet elegant, and there is nothing like it in the Hunter Valley.
