The best location depends on where you're getting married, the time of day and the season.

That’s why we always do some location spotting before your wedding. We’ll look at your venue and the surrounding area, consider where the light will be at different times of the day and work out where we can take you for beautiful photographs without spending half your wedding driving around.

And the Mid North Coast gives us so much to work with.

For coastal weddings, some of our all-time favourites include Little Bay Beach at Arakoon, Big Hill Beach at Crescent Head and Elizabeth Beach.

Each has its own personality, from rocky coastline and headlands to wide stretches of sand and beautiful ocean views.

If you're getting married around Port Macquarie, there are plenty of options too. Tacking Point Lighthouse is an obvious favourite, particularly for dramatic coastal photographs, while Flynns Beach gives you that beautiful classic beach setting.

We also love the historic surroundings of Roto House, especially when you want something a little different from the usual beach photographs.

And sometimes you don't need to go anywhere at all. If you're getting married at a private property surrounded by bush, farmland, rainforest or coastal scenery, your wedding venue may already be the perfect location.

Port Macquarie is particularly spoiled when it comes to wedding photography locations. You have beaches, rocky headlands, rainforest, historic buildings and beautiful coastal walking tracks all within a relatively small area.

Tacking Point Lighthouse is one of our favourites for dramatic coastal photographs, especially when you can catch that beautiful afternoon light across the headland and ocean.

Flynns Beach is perfect if you're after something more relaxed and quintessentially Australian — sand, ocean, rocks and plenty of space to let you simply be yourselves.

And Roto House gives you something completely different, with its heritage character and beautiful surrounding grounds providing a lovely alternative to another beach photograph.

We'll consider your venue, your timeline and the light on your particular day before recommending where to go.

Sometimes the best photographs are found somewhere completely unexpected.

The great thing about the Mid North Coast is that there really isn't a bad season for a wedding. The climate is generally pretty mild, and every season brings something different to your photographs.

Spring and autumn are particularly lovely if you're planning an outdoor wedding. The temperatures tend to be comfortable, making it much easier to spend time outside especially for outdoor ceremony and portraits. They're also beautiful seasons for beach weddings when you want that relaxed coastal feeling without the intensity of summer.

Summer is hard to beat if you're dreaming of a beach wedding. Long days, warm evenings and beautiful sunsets make it a favourite for coastal celebrations. The only thing to keep in mind is that popular beaches and holiday destinations can become very busy during school holidays, so your ceremony time and choice of location can make a big difference.

Winter can actually be a wonderful time for a Mid North Coast wedding too. The days are shorter, but winter often brings beautiful clear light and cooler temperatures that make outdoor photographs incredibly comfortable. If you're planning a lighthouse, headland or beach wedding, you may even find the cooler season gives you a little more breathing room around some of the busier locations.

Ultimately, we can work with the light, the weather and the landscape to make the most of whichever season you choose.

Our approach is candid and photojournalistic, which means we spend most of the day quietly observing and capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Rather than interrupting the day with constant directions, we allow your story to happen and we want you to enjoy spend time with your family, hug your friends, enjoy your reception, and celebrate!

We provide gentle guidance when needed, but we never overpose or force awkward positions.

Yes! We know that it is very common for wedding photographers to present styled shoots as their wedding portfolios.

Styled shoots are done under conditions that the photographer fully controls: professional models, no time constraint, no stress, no change of weather and a lot of take 2s!

Unfortunately, they do not accurately represent the ability of the photographer to work in real-life situations or the quality and style of photographs that will be delivered to a client.

We are proud that all the photographs you see on our portfolio were taken from real weddings with couples just like you. So what you see is what you get!

During your couple's portrait session, we'll gently lead you into beautiful light and scenic locations, then encourage you to simply spend time together. simple interactions create photographs that feel authentic because they are authentic.

Rather than asking you to hold uncomfortable poses, we create opportunities for you enjoy each other and your loved ones.

To secure your wedding date, we will send you your wedding contract, and we require a booking fee of $950.

Once everything is confirmed, your date is officially reserved, and we can start planning your wedding photography together.
