The Hunter Valley has such a beautiful mix of vineyards, rolling countryside, mountain views and elegant country estates that there’s no shortage of gorgeous places to get married.
Some of our favourites include The Woodhouse of Wollombi, Margan Winery, Spicers Guesthouse, Peterson House and Tamburlaine to name a few.
Spicers Guesthouse has that beautiful country-estate feeling, with manicured gardens, grand architecture and the vineyards and mountains of the Hunter Valley surrounding it. It gives us plenty of variety for photographs, from elegant portraits around the property to relaxed moments outdoors.
Peterson House is perfect if you love the idea of getting married surrounded by vineyards. The rows of vines create beautiful leading lines for photographs, particularly when the afternoon light starts to come through.
Tamburlaine Organic Wines has a lovely relaxed vineyard atmosphere, with plenty of open space and beautiful rural surroundings. It’s a great option for couples wanting their wedding to feel elegant without being overly formal.
The Woodhouse of Wollombi has a beautiful rustic, country feel, surrounded by the vineyards and rolling landscape of Pokolbin. The timber architecture, gardens and open countryside give us plenty to work with photographically
And there are so many other beautiful venues throughout the Hunter — from larger vineyard estates to private properties and intimate country weddings.
We also love discovering new venues, particularly when we can explore the property and find the little corners that make it unique!

Pokolbin is one of our favourite parts of the Hunter Valley for wedding photography because there is so much variety packed into a relatively small area.
The vineyards themselves are an obvious favourite. Rows of vines can look incredible in photographs, particularly when the sun is low and the light starts filtering between the vines.
We also love the Brokenback Range views, which give your photographs that feeling of expansiveness.
Depending on your venue, there usually are beautiful gardens, old buildings, country roads, dams or open paddocks that work beautifully for portraits.
And sometimes the best photographs happen in the simplest places — walking from one part of the venue to another, standing among the vines with a glass of champagne, or watching the sun disappear behind the hills! They all make beautiful candid wedding photographs.
We'll look for those moments as well as the more planned portraits.

The Hunter Valley is beautiful throughout the year, but each season gives you something a little different.
Autumn is particularly beautiful, especially if you love those warm, earthy tones. The vineyards and surrounding landscape can take on beautiful colours, and the cooler temperatures make it much more comfortable to spend time outside.
Spring is another favourite, with greener landscapes and comfortable temperatures. It's a lovely time for outdoor ceremonies and garden photographs.
Summer gives you those long, warm evenings, which are fantastic for vineyard weddings. It can get hot during the middle of the day, though, so always consider the timing of your ceremony and portraits.
Fortunately, the late afternoon can be absolutely gorgeous once the heat starts to ease.
Winter has its own charm. The days are shorter, but the low winter sun can create beautiful, soft light across the vineyards and hills. If you're planning a winter wedding, we'll pay particular attention to your timeline so you can make the most of the available daylight.
And then there are those classic Hunter Valley sunsets. Whatever time of year you choose, if we can sneak you away for a few minutes when the sun is getting low, we'll almost certainly be looking for an opportunity to make the most of it.

Our approach is candid and photojournalistic, which means we spend most of the day quietly observing and capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Rather than interrupting the day with constant directions, we allow your story to happen and we want you to enjoy spend time with your family, hug your friends, enjoy your reception, and celebrate!
We provide gentle guidance when needed, but we never overpose or force awkward positions. -
Yes! We know that it is very common for wedding photographers to present styled shoots as their wedding portfolios.
Styled shoots are done under conditions that the photographer fully controls: professional models, no time constraint, no stress, no change of weather and a lot of take 2s!
Unfortunately, they do not accurately represent the ability of the photographer to work in real-life situations or the quality and style of photographs that will be delivered to a client. We are proud that all the photographs you see on our portfolio were taken from real weddings with couples just like you. So what you see is what you get!
