Beach Proposal Packages in Port Stephens

We usually recommend sunset time— it’s always romantic, and there are plenty of beautiful spots around Port Stephens where you can watch the sun go down. It also gives us that gorgeous evening light for your photographs.

If you’re an early bird, sunrise is just as beautiful!

Once you’ve decided on the time, we’ll recommend the best locations for your proposal. Some spots are better during the day, while others really come to life in the afternoon and around sunset, so we’ll help you choose somewhere that works beautifully for both the proposal and your photographs.

Sunset also gives you the perfect excuse to get dressed up without giving the surprise away. A simple “I thought we could go for drinks afterwards” usually works perfectly!

There are so many beautiful beaches around Port Stephens, and we have a few favourites for proposals depending on the time of day and the light.

Our recommended beaches include:

• Little Beach – a quieter, intimate option with beautiful views and a more secluded feel.

• Sunset Beach – a beautiful spot for an afternoon or sunset proposal, with lovely light and coastal views.

• Shoal Bay – beautiful views with amazing rock formations.

• Zenith Beach – stunning with beautiful headland views, perfect for morning.

• Birubi Beach – dramatic dunes and plenty of space, particularly beautiful around sunset.

And if you’re staying around the Tilligerry Peninsula, Lemon Tree Passage is another great option for a proposal. It has a more secluded and intimate feel, making it perfect if you’d prefer something a little quieter.

We’re always happy to recommend the spot that will work best for you.

We’ll keep an eye on the weather and conditions in the lead-up to your proposal. If, for example, your chosen location is looking too windy on the day, we can easily move to another spot.

The great thing about Port Stephens is that it’s a peninsula, with beautiful beaches on both sides, so we can usually find a sheltered location if the conditions change.

The locations we recommend are also all relatively close to each other, so if we do need to change plans on the day, there’s no long drive in between locations. We can simply move to Plan B and keep the whole experience relaxed and seamless.

A few days before the proposal, Florent will give you a call and talk you through exactly how everything will work.

He will explain where you’ll go, where he will be hiding and what to expect, so you can feel completely comfortable and confident with the plan before the big day.

We will send you a map of the location prior to the big event, and will be communicating throughout so if you have any questions, we are here. to answer all of them.

If you are having the picnic option, we will set it up prior to your arrival. Once you arrive at the location, you should aim to propose within the first 15 minutes.

Florent will be discreetly hiding nearby, ready to capture those beautiful, genuine moments without your partner knowing he’s there.

Once you’ve proposed, Florent will reveal himself and take you both for a fun photography session. This is when we capture all those just-engaged moments, along with some drone photographs if the weather and conditions allow.

If you’re having the picnic, Florent will take you to your picnic setup and capture some extra photographs as you settle in, enjoy the moment and take it all in.

The photography component with Florent is approximately one hour, while the complete picnic experience runs for around 2.5 hours.
