Cypress Lakes Resort - A Wedding Amongst The Vines

One of my favourite wedding destinations is the Hunter Valley. There is something very romantic about getting married in the vineyard and, recently, I photographed the wedding of Elyse and Harold at the Cypress Lakes Resort in Pokolbin.

Elyse and Harold both had their bridal and groom preparations, ceremony and reception at the Cypress Lakes Resort. One of the things we suggest to make the most of your bridal preparations is to lessen the amount of driving on your wedding day. This way you could really relax and fully enjoy this part of your day. When you have everything in one place, there is no running around, which can sometimes lead to unnecessary stress.

Elyse and Harold were joined by their three adorable kids for their preparations. Their room was also nice and bright which was great for beautiful portraits of the bride, Elyse. I love how kids do the most unexpected things!

There were plenty of naturally beautiful locations from vineyards to bushland to create very interesting photographs. As a Hunter Valley Wedding Photographer, one of the things I love about the Hunter Valley is that there are places that allow you to feel like you’re far away and secluded. It gives newly married couples a wonderful opportunity to enjoy each others’ company just a few moments after they have said, “I do”.

Elyse and Harold joined their families and friends at The Restaurant @ Cypress Lakes for their wedding reception. The venue is perfect for intimate weddings and has excellent views of the Hunter Valley. It also boasts a bespoke menu that is paired perfectly with the region’s best wines!
