There are plenty of opportunities to incorporate the Chowder Bay and Sydney Harbour landscape into your wedding photographs. We can use the harbour, surrounding greenery and heritage architecture to create a varied collection of images without needing to spend a huge amount of time travelling.

Depending on your timeline, we can also explore nearby areas around Chowder Bay for your couple portraits and make the most of the changing light.

Afternoon light is always our preferred time for couple portraits at Sergeants Mess, particularly with the beautiful harbour setting and surrounding landscape. However, if you’re having an earlier ceremony, don’t worry — we can still find beautiful light and make the most of the time available.

If sunset is later in the evening, we can also plan to step out briefly during your reception for a few extra photographs as the light gets softer. It can be a lovely way to sneak away together for a few minutes without missing much of the celebration.

All of this will be discussed during your wedding preparation meeting, where we’ll work through your timeline and plan the best opportunities for photographs around your day while making sure you have plenty of time to enjoy your wedding!
