The ceremony is held at Nelson Head Lighthouse Reserve, rather than inside the lighthouse itself. You have the water, coastline and surrounding headlands as your backdrop, which means you don't need to do much to create a beautiful setting.

The reserve looks out across Port Stephens towards Shoal Bay, with views towards Tomaree and Yacaaba Headlands. It is an elevated coastal setting, so you get a wonderful sense of the landscape during the ceremony.
