SALTWATER WEDDINGS | Fingal Bay
Freya & Bryte described themselves as a perfect “balance of loungey and adventurous,” which is exactly the kind of couples that I adore! I loved being part of Freya & Bryte’s day – it was interesting, fun and filled with energy!
The couple chose Saltwater Restaurant Fingal Bay for their wedding ceremony and reception venue. Perched above the Surf Life Savings Club, it boasts breathtaking views of Fingal Beach and beyond. Freya & Bryte picked Port Stephens as their wedding destination as both of their grandmothers live locally and “the location is beautiful in general!” I couldn’t agree more! Deciding on Saltwater Restaurant was easy as it came highly recommended by friends who live locally. “We really clicked with the owners when we met them and we loved the location & atmosphere of Saltwater.”
Port Stephens is such an amazing location and I always try to show its beauty when doing couple portraits! We went to Barry Park in Fingal Bay for their wedding couple portrait shoot. Freya & Bryte completely trusted me and was very happy to go along with my suggestions (even going across rocks! ).
“Florent was just such a relaxed presence. We trusted him a lot and he made us feel comfortable.”, said Freya. “I was very confident in Florent’s ability given the portfolio I had seen on the website. He was very easy to work with on the day and gave guidance only needed. Choosing Florent was one of the easiest decisions with regards to the whole wedding.” said Bryte. (Thanks for your kind words!)
Freya & Bryte’s wanted to have a ceremony that was “meaningful, personal and fun. We wanted to include all the important people in our lives in our ceremony. With the help of Jacie of I Do Bespoke Ceremonies, this worked out better than we could’ve imagined.”
Wedding days always go so fast! Here’s what Freya and Bryte remember the most from their wedding day. Freya, “Ceremony, the speeches, climbing up rocks for our wedding photos and the conga line!” And Bryte? “Seeing Freya for the first time, our vows, first dance & dancing at the end of the night, the speeches and the cake.”
