Olio Kensington Street Wedding Chippendale. This Old Rum Store was such a perfect spot for Kelly and Edwin’s intimate wedding with their couple portraits created at the vibrant Kensington Street, Chippendale.
Olio Kensington Street Wedding
Kelly and Edwin wanted a ‘low-key’ wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. The wedding ceremony was held at the NSW Sydney Registry Office within walking distance from Olio. Though it was ‘low-key’ just as they wanted, Kelly and Edwin managed to pull a classy and intimate wedding with their reception held at the Olio Kensington Street set at the beautifully restored The Old Rum Store in Chippendale.
After many years of photographing weddings in Sydney, it’s nice to keep discovering new wedding venues such as Olio! The food is just as impressive as its interiors with authentic Sicilian food offerings from an award-winning Sicilian born chef. That means an Italian restaurant that isn’t your average fare.
Kelly got ready at the iconic, heritage-listed The Old Clare, Hotel with her mum and sister. Edwin and Kelly walked together hand in hand to the NSW Registry Office to exchange their wedding vows. From there we had fun doing a little photoshoot at Kensington Street’s little lanes and secret alleys.
It’s amazing what treasures lay beyond the city’s facade! As always, I love incorporating architecture and cityscapes in wedding photography.
