The world may look and feel different to the one we knew, but it is comforting to know that love remains the same. Tory & Jay's McKell Park wedding celebrates love in the time of Covid. Like many couples they had to postpone their wedding back in June due to public health restrictions. I was also saddened by this, but I knew that when they decide to go ahead with their wedding it will be a true celebration of love. And it was.
I think that this present challenge that we are all going through really brings home the point that a wedding is about love. At the end of the day, your lifetime commitment to each other is what makes a wedding.
I am very thankful that I was able to witness and capture their special moment. Tory and Jay had their wedding ceremony at McKell Park on the beautiful shore of Sydney's harbour. It was a perfect day with boats sailing by as they exchange their wedding vows. I am always in awe of the expansive views at McKell Park and it's definitely one of my favourite locations for a Sydney wedding.
We went to Watsons Bay so the couple can have some moments alone to enjoy each other and also to do some couple portraits along the beach.
And the day ended with a glowing sunset like an affirmation that no matter what - days can end beautifully.
