Margan Winery was the perfect wedding venue for this lovers of all things wine! JiaYie and Greg wanted an intimate casual wedding and “minimising traditions that we don't care about!”. With the sweeping vineyards and the Brokenback Mountain range as backdrops, it’s hard not to fall in love in this Hunter Valley wedding story!

The combination of the stunning location, exceptional wine and cuisine make it an easy choice for JiaYie and Greg to celebrate their wedding at one of Hunter Valley’s most awarded restaurants, Margan Wines. The couples did away with having a wedding entourage and mostly “traditions”. For one, instead of a “bridal shoes”, JiaYie chose a limited edition Manga sneakers for her wedding that were only available in South East Asia, so she flew back home to Malaysia to buy a pair!
The autumn season is such an exceptional time of the year at the Hunter Valley brining with it a vibrant display of colours as the leaves on the trees transition from green to shades of red, orange, and gold. What a location to photograph the winery with its line of trees and the Brokenback Mountain range to complete breathtaking wedding photographs!
Their wedding reception was held at the Margan Barrel room where the winery mature their wine in beautiful French oak casks providing an impressive backdrop for their wedding. JiaYie changed to a different wedding dress for this part of the wedding, and our intimate coverage of their wedding finished as they all sat down to enjoy Margan Restaurant’s delectable dinner menu.
