Gunners Barracks wedding of Zoe & Kris. Their love story is a proof that you cannot direct the course of love once it finds you. They met at an Australia Day party in London, while both living in the UK. “While we didn’t hit it off that night, we both kept running into each other at parties over the next six months, and slowly got to know each other.”

The irony is that both of them were determined to meet a partner that was English or European, and had sworn not to date an Australian. They ended up dating, living together in London and then eventually moved back to Australia together. Both of their families were pretty thrilled that we met, as they were all a little worried that we would meet and English man/woman and never come home!

Their journey continued on with a beautiful wedding ceremony at the courtyard one of my all time favourite wedding venues, Gunners Barracks Mosman. Not only it’s one of Sydney’s most historic sights, it has a spectacular views of Sydney Harbour.

Zoe and Kris clearly have an appreciation for Champagne, so they have decided to have a Champagne tower on the terrace of Gunners Barracks. While the guests continue to have drinks and canapés, we had our photo locations around the venue. And more Champagne have been popped and enjoyed by the couple and their bridal entourage during our photo location shoot. Gunners Barracks is a great place for photo shoot, as you don’t have to go too far to have amazing couple portraits. Its sandstone facade and the famous ‘red door’, it was a perfect location for a relaxed couple portrait.

After the wedding location shoot, the couples met their guests back at Gunners Barracks’ The Main Dining Room for a sit down dinner and of course, a lot of partying!
