LINDSAY & JESSE

Lindsay & Jesse’s proposal story was ‘simple, raw and unexpected.’ Spending time at home and both dressed in their pyjamas, Jesse popped the question prior to travelling to the Great Barrier Reef for a planned holiday. “It completely reflected our relationship. That above all else we enjoy keeping things simple in our lives.”

Keeping things real and simple are the cornerstone of their beautiful ceremony at Cook and Phillip Park, which was held right next to the reception venue. “We wanted our ceremony to portray our love for one another, to be relaxed and to include our family and friends.”

Lindsay and Jesse were both beaming with excitement during the bridal and groom preparation at the Meriton Suites in Pitt Street, Sydney. When I asked them why they chose Bodhi Restaurant for their wedding venue, “Bodhi Restaurant Sydney is nestled amongst the Morton bay fig trees and becomes so magical at night with the additional lighting we sourced. It provides a completely vegan menu with delicious food and beverages which can be enjoyed without causing any harm to others.”

After their wedding ceremony at the Cook and Phillip Park, we had our bride and groom wedding portraits around the park, with the majestic St Marys Cathedral as a backdrop. Just as Lindsay and Jesse had envisioned their wedding, their wedding reception was beautifully decorated with white flowers and oozed a feeling of understated elegance. A long, white carpet was rolled out for the bride and groom as they made their entrance to the Bodhi Restaurant wedding venue.

It’s always interesting to ask couples, once they have said I do, what words of wisdom do they have for married to be. Here is what Lindsay and Jesse have to say, “Remember the true reason why you are getting married and to focus on one another throughout the experience. The day passes by so quickly, so relax and enjoy it.”
