Wedding Venues NSW |
The usual route to planning a wedding is, firstly, deciding on a wedding venue. Sydney couples are loving the idea of an out of town wedding, as it gives your big day that holiday feeling! And who doesn’t like a holiday? We’ve compiled a list of wedding venues in NSW from far to not so far. You only have to decide how long the party will last?
1 ~ Bannisters Port Stephens
Dreaming of a beach wedding with white sandy beaches without leaving the country? Only two and a half hours drive from Sydney, and you are destined to find your own paradise! Port Stephens boasts a plethora of beautiful bays, hidden spots with dramatic rock formations and endless water views. The recently opened Bannisters Port Stephens epitomises the soul of this place. It’s barefoot luxury paired with Rick Stein’s famous restaurant and several spaces to suit your wedding goal, it’s a venue definitely worth considering.
2 ~ Cypress Lakes Resort, Hunter Valley
There is always something terribly romantic about getting married in the vineyards. And lucky for us who live in NSW, we have the Hunter Valley right on our doorstep! Famous for their Semillon and Shiraz (who could resist?!), there are plenty of locations from panoramic bushlands to wineries to create beautiful photographs. The Hunter Valley is an easy wedding destination for an out-of-town wedding and a quick getaway.

Bendooley Estate’s historic estate encapsulates the spectacular charm of this region with luxurious cottages within the beautifully preserved 200-acre property.
5 ~ Cape Byron Lighthouse
Byron Bay has long been synonymous with vibrant coastal lifestyle. Located on the far north coast of NSW, it is also home to the most easterly point of NSW – the Cape Byron Lighthouse. Why not also make your big day a geographical talking point with views to match by holding your ceremony at the Lighthouse? A short drive from the Cape Byron Lighthouse is the Beach Byron Bay Restaurant, which is tucked away in Clarke’s Beach and showcases awesome beach dining experience with their passion for fresh, seasonal menu.
