Wedding in the Country House: Milton Park, Southern Highlands

Milton Park Wedding

The Southern Highlands have long been a popular destination for couples who want a romantic getaway. It’s no surprise then that more and more couples are choosing this beautiful part of New South Wales for their wedding location. In the past months, I have travelled down south a number of times to photograph weddings and one location that doesn’t fail to impress is the Milton Park Country House and Spa.

Catherine and her bridal entourage stayed at the Country House Hotel for her bridal preparation. It is always great to have the bridal preparation not far from the ceremony, or better yet, such as in this case, on the same premises so that you will be more relaxed during your preparation and fully enjoy this part of the wedding day (see full tips on “How to make the most of your bridal and groom preparation?“). The suites at Milton Park are very elegantly furnished with a touch of French provincial and have plenty of spaces for you and your entourage.

Most impressive of all is Milton Park’s well renowned gardens. Did you know that Milton Park’s garden was designed by the English School of Landscape and still is the only work undertaken outside of Europe? There are many stunning parts for memorable wedding portrait shoots such as this magnificent tree:

Of course, most couples choose to fully take advantage of its wonderful surroundings and have their wedding ceremony on the grounds of its beautiful garden.

Milton Park’s acres of lush gardens and sweeping lawns are perfect for different backdrops for wedding photographs, but it still feels intimate and secluded to afford the newly married couple some privacy during the couple portrait session.

The wedding reception of Catherine and Remo was held in The Orangerie, which is surrounded with glass windows that overlooks  manicured gardens.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING ABOUT YOUR WEDDING!
