Engagement Party of Romy and Marcus

Romy and Marcus celebrated their engagement party with their family and friends at Marcus’s childhood home. Before the cheers and toasts started, we escaped across the road to Sydney’s beautiful Centennial Park for some couple portrait shoots.

Centennial Park has always been a favourite of mine for Sydney photography locations – I especially love the giant Morton Fig trees and gum tree forest near the Duck Pond. The problem is that I, along, with thousands of Sydneysiders, love this park so much that if you’re thinking of doing a photoshoot on a weekend, it’s best to do it very early morning to beat the crowd!

Check out Marcus’s High Jump! Impressive!

Some of the highlights of their engagement party was Marcus’s Dad speech and the couple’s formal announcement of their wedding date to their guests. Asking the guests to ‘Save the Date’ somehow elevated the atmosphere of the party with sweet anticipation of the upcoming wedding!

As a wine lover myself, I couldn’t help but feel a little tiny bit (ok a lot!) envious of  Marcus’s Dad’s wine cellar..

Engagement parties are great way to get the two families together and for guests from both sides to meet each other. And an opportune moment to ask someone special to be in your bridal party!

Engagement party favour

If their engagement party was anything to go by, I am 100% positive that Romy and Marcus’s wedding will be a great one! MAZEL TOV!
